Lanvin Love.

Lanvin Snakeskin Sandal from Neiman Marcus. This crushes me. Disco chic. Will one day be coveted vintage, no?

Living The Good (Fleur) Life

Here's a little peek at the new windows at Fleur! They look fabulous! The stacked trunks are giving me heart palpitations. I am currently working on a reason for needing five Crayola-inspired trunks-don't worry-I can do it. Tonight is the grand introduction of Fleur Lifestyle. I am sooo excited to see what the girls have in store, and am so excited that they have decided to expand in this direction! Expect pictures of the things I black out and buy.

Peacoat Update!

Trudy Peacoat via J Crew
Love this cheerful Spring peacoat from J Crew! I love the sunny color and classic '60s styling. Would be great with some cute red shorts and wedge or a great navy and white striped shift dress!

Birkin Alert

Wish List (for when I marry into royalty):
This lime green ostrich Birkin Bag. Found it on Portero. Can you imagine? Let's all bask in its glory. The handles are hand wrapped with an Hermès scarf (done at the Hermès for $600). It's too luxurious for its own good; check it out on Portero, I can't bear to tell you the price.

Friday Faves

For those of us that aren't quite prepared to invest in a Celine bag (and I fully support you if you are), J Crew has a really amazing alternative, the Tillery bag (for about a tenth of the price). It comes in several colors as well as in leather. Check out the Ribbon Stripe Invitation Clutch too while you're at it!

I am in love with this Aussie line called Bec & Bridge. I have the top in this picture that makes me soo happy. I love this dress from Singer22's website; while I think our little model friend needs a touch of sun, I think it's a gorgeous shape and could be accessorized a million ways.

You should get these! The Amber heel from Tibi! They have several versions, this being my fave! Van Jean has them in stock now. Such a great multi-purpose, multi-outfit sandal!

I love this swingy little fishy tank from Custard in Savannah! Our abnormally warm weather has sent me into full on Spring mode. How cute would this be with the pink skinnies from  Hudson (pictured below!) from Fleur and some tan sandals? (Side note: the top is a steal!)

Sand(als) Between Your Toes

Love the orange, yes, the beer boxes are part of their display
I am so excited about this discovery-in all honesty, made by my mother and her friends-in one of my favorite places, Key West. This past week while I was sitting here, cold and pale, my parents were sipping frozen drinks poolside in balmy Key West. BUT, at least my mother had the motivation to get out and do some shopping, and stumbled upon Kino Sandals. Kino's are an almost 50 year old family business, founded by Cuban immigrants who had left behind a shoe-making business. All of the sandals are handmade, in house at their shop on Fitzpatrick Street. They're basic but so comfortable, and come tons of colors and styles. I got tan, but after much debate am having them send me the orange as well. And get this, they're $13. If you can't make it to Key West, you can also purchase them online. Although, it seems like a trip to Key West would be more appropriate.

Palette Inspirations

Ruffles
I am really into a soft palette right now. There were a lot of pastels on the Spring runways, and I am super inspired. Most of the pink/coral and aqua pastels will really work on any complexion. Not to mention I think it's a lovely home decor palette. I recently painted my bedroom a very pale gray, and plan to use these hues as accent colors. Soothing, no?

PS-almost all of these images were originally pinned from Bon Vivant's Pinterest, follow Liza's boards here.

Cleobella Mexicana Painted Wallet
I've been on the lookout for a new wallet (well, a new purse/wallet situation, but that's an entirely different debate), and I just stumbled across this adorable little number by Cleobella. I am obsessed with this color. It is SO cheerful. Between the color and the great sort of boho-ish detailing this could double as a clutch. Would look so cute with navy stripes or hot pink! AND, it's $110!

Sunday Funday

Patrick Dougherty installation in Iris
On this dreary, cold Sunday I had the pleasure of enjoying a meet-and-greet brunch for the Contemporaries Board of Directors at the North Carolina Museum of Art's restaurant Iris. Besides the lovely company, I must mention the lobster+asparagus+Gruyere omlette, which was to die for. If you have not dined there it's really not to be missed; the restaurant (named after museum benefactor Iris Cantor) is stationed at the entrance of the museum's new building, bathed in natural light and dominated by the huge Patrick Dougherty installation that almost appears to be living. Our lunch was followed with a quick docent-led tour (Lindsay was wonderful if you're planning to take one) that was full of interesting information about some of the museum's most interesting pieces. There is so much to see, but I just wanted to share these pictures of the two installations that have meant the most to me since the new building was opened. The other piece I have been so taken with is Roxy Paine's Askew, I call it The Tree, that sits on a knoll in front of the new building. It changes every time I see it; it's amazing: the light, the weather, the time of day completely changes its mood.
Visit the NCMA's website for a much more informative review, Iris' hours, and membership!

Friday Faves

I love this beanbag chair from One Kings Lane! How friggin' fun! You could put a couple of these in an outdoor living space and create such a chic look!!! They had several different patterns and colorwaves, could also be fab in a playroom or TV room!

I am in love with these Jeffrey Campbell boots. They're perfectly "worn" and would look so good with skinny pants or jeggings! Even with a cute short trapeze-style dress. Not to mention, they're a great price.

This "Mojave" ring by Alexis Bittar is gorgeous. Inspired by Baroque styling and Native American elements, it is quite the changeup from his standard lucite line. Such a statement!

Via Osborne Samuel
From photographer Tim Flach's book Dogs {Gods}. I love his work. And I love dogs. If you are ever sad, go to his website will literally change your day.

The Blythe Blouse from J Crew. A staple in my wardrobe, I have three and counting. It comes in a bazillion colors, the fit is amazing, and you can wear it with anything. It's a really cost-effective wardrobe investment.

Seeing Spots

Just wanted to share this Lela Rose look I have been dying over. Love the dalmatian spots, and just that little bit of assymmetry in the hem with the tulle kicking out. It's gorgeous. The look below is another one of my faves, it came here in the Vermillion Spring trunk show and I was totally awestruck. To be completely honest, I don't feel like the runway shot does it justice.

Haute Headboards

Check out these insanely gorgeous and show-stopping headboards installations from the folks at Furbish in Raleigh. What an amazing way to add some pop to your bedroom. If the home page of their website doesn’t make you black out, you may not have a pulse.

Major Maja

Maja Two Dress, DVF, via Shopbop
The triumphant return of the Maja dress from DVF! (Also known as the Maja Two dress. To prevent confusion.) I'm so thrilled they reinvented this dress for this season! Some of you may remember it's moment in the sun from last year, see below, on the newest member of British royalty. Both versions really shine because of their showstopping color and super simplified, yet feminine fit. It’s such a versatile piece to add to your Spring wardrobe; it can definitely go from day to night with a little accessories tweaking.

Pretty In Purple

Chanel via simonesato on eBay
Why not some Chanel, 'cause it's Monday, right? I found this gorgeous, classic quilted goodness in one of my favorite eBay seller's shop, simonesato. In a perfect world we would all own one of these. I adore this color, what a wonderful addition this would make to one's closet. With jeans and a t-shirt? Yes, please. EBay is one of my favorite ways to find deals on designer goodies, it's realllly exhilarating to score something amazing for a fraction of the price. You just gotta be careful, check feedback, and ask questions!

Friday Faves

Amazing coral cuff from Blue Sky Designs, available at Fleur in Raleigh. I love this pop of color to get you through this last winter push!
Happy Friday to all! It's been a long week for sure! I hope everyone has fabulous plans!

I love the bright colors and mixed textures of the "Kayah" necklace from bluma project; the beads are glass, wood, and lacquered paper. It's handmade by artisan women at a cooperative in Ghana.

The "Heart Throb" Boy Shirt from J Crew. I am loving the fit and prints of their blouses lately. This one is super-versatile and would be a subtle Valentine's look if you're into dressing in holiday theme. (No judgement)

What a fabulous blouse from Funktional; a great update/alternative to the white button down. Perfect with high-waisted trouser for work, or jeans and a big necklace for casual. It comes in a really pretty blue too.

Although I was recently admonished for supporting rompers publicly, I think that worn properly they can be a cute look. I think this one is about as sophisticated as one will find. I love the drape and the steely gray of this version from Blaque Label

Love this sequinned Parker dress. Such an easy yet fabulous look, needs very little accessorizing.

Just to leave you with a little weekend glamour...Oscar de la Renta, from Vogue Paris.
